Yeah, I think we all agree House Dems have to go hard on investigation. Question is whether (as Greg argues, persuasively I think) impeachment makes investigations stronger or (as Josh contends) serve only to distract.

Impeachment skeptics argue from two major assumptions: (1) Impeachment will help GOP 2020 chances, and (2) Absent impeachment, Dems are a slam dunk to take back POTUS. I think these are both specious with little to back them up

We were warned the Kavanaugh sexual assault hearings and aftermath would mobilize conservative voters to take back congress. What happened is legions of pissed off Democratic voters took back the House; the senate map was never seriously in play
