To clarify: Schulz was using the pre-made Peanuts bristol boards with the title on it to do the art, but the strip was going to have another name: Hagemeyer (the name of the main character). You can see Hagemayer in pencil on top left.

The David Michaelis bio? It was hefty but left out a lot. I thought it didn't do justice to, among other things, Schulz's spiritual journey.

Ah, that's the Rheta Grimsley Johnson book then from the 1980s. It's okay but Schulz's archives weren't available when she wrote it.
