Why so few seats for Lib Dem? Are the other parties more efficiently distributed?

And Scotland is the land of wasted FPTP votes because of the SNP
-
It's not a wasted vote if you vote for what you believe in. It's not our fault the system sucks.

Lib Dems were once the party of affluent suburbs and uni towns. They wiped out their uni vote by trebling tuition fees; now they represent the impotent remainer vote

Have you seen tonight's YouGov poll

It's the opposite reason though. They're too thinly spread to win many seats on FPTP. The SNP does it super efficiently because Scotland. The LDs waste a lot of votes coming 2nd.

LDs have about twice as many marginals against the Tories (mostly in the south and rural) than they do Labour (mostly in the north and urban). So when they do well they hurt the Tories more on FPTP (hence the Tory/Labour seat difference above on the same % vote).
