This is very interesting for understanding Biden's genuine appeal to voters is rooted in his personal story.https://twitter.com/PoliticoScott/status/1134095583898165250 …

I'm not a big fan of Biden as a candidate for president generally, but it's true, his ability to relate to others in grief is appealing, especially in contrast to @realDonaldTrump, who has zero compassion and empathy.
I just love a good boomer death cult
« Biden was, and in some weird way remains, a boy eager to be included in the conversations of older men. » Exactly.
Does this apply to the communities devastated by his 1994 crime bill? Or to Anita Hill? Or to the women and girls whose personal space he's completely ignored for years? Does his compassion extend to the left flank he's destined to lose?
This aspect of his character is very impressive to people when they learn of it (and what those on political twitter forget is most Americans really do not have a political ideology and don't know what words like noelibralism or populism mean).
I feel the same way about Genghis Khan, once you know his charming personal story your on board all the way, you see the nobility and majesty of his purpose and you realize there was a reason he was admired, considering what he did to the people who didn't admire him.
