I kind of have a theory that almost all right-wing Straussianism comes not from Strauss but from Jaffa (the paleo-cons) & Bloom (the neo-cons).

It's complicated. Jaffa argued a lot with paleos (and he was a major foil for Sam Francis) but almost all of Jaffa's students are now Trumpians.

This is true, they had their own path there. But I think of paleos mostly as people who were pro Mel Bradford. Not many kind words for Lincoln in that crowd.

Well, I think Bradford & Jaffa pretty much agreed on everything but Lincoln. Did you ever read the Bradford/Jaffa disputes in American Spectator? worth a look.
