In the early 1970s a cartoonist named Jim Starlin spent a lot of time dropping acid & reading Jack Kirby's Fourth World comics. In 2019, Avengers: Endgame made more than $2.5 billion. These two sentences are absolutely connected but the bridge between them is unfathomable.

What? How do you find the 1970s writers infatjomable? That was when comic book writing was at their peak. Dumbed down comics are a waste of time. Starlin is one of the GOATs.pic.twitter.com/12P7BJsyQT

Kirby is boring and childish as was Stan Lee. It was those writers you mention that started the takeoff of comics as an art form. Stan and Kirby were great for coming up with characters but comics would have never taken off as they did with just their styles of writing.
