Right, so the actual violent, terroristic threat posed by both groups (Nazis and ISIS) in the United States is extremely small. Always happy to find common ground.

The impact of political violence extends beyond body count. One could argue (as I've heard racists do) that the KKK didn't lynch that many people. Yet KKK violence pervasively shaped race relations from Reconstruction until (at the least) 1960s.
