2. I'm under no illusion that there are many Republicans like Justin Amash, who will break with Trump & say what he did is impeachable. But even if vast majority of GOP is Trumpized, not all of GOP is.

3. Even if only a few GOP congress break with Trump & vote for impeachment, it's a significant wedge. It's good to get on the historical record that even members of his party acknowledged Trump committed crimes. Pelosi's stalling forecloses that possibility.

Impeachment being meaningless without GOP support was always a brainless assertion and Democrats understand this when they pass any number of vastly less important legislation in the House that they know the Senate will never go for.
