Even if you don't support a candidate (or maybe especially if you don't support them) you should make an effort to understand their appeal. No one has explained the appeal of Joe Biden better than @blauwsteen in this splendid piece.https://twitter.com/blauwsteen/status/1129024837018619904 …

Yes - There's great importance of someone who has endured his kind of loss and arisen again and again -- grit, insight, empathy. It's all important.

Agreed. Def enjoyed the idea he reclaimed the vice presidency by being suited for it. Biden’s attempts to cast himself as middle of the night shoulder to cry on/grieve with are consistent with his paternalistic (& IMO odious) persona. His way to be a hero and center of it all.

Yeah, but, he's got the problem that we remember that he's a war on crime, war on drugs, corporatist. He's going to have to find a way to reconcile the utter racism of the first two and the economic fail of the latter.

Or… And hear me out… JUST VOTE FOR ELIZABETH WARREN, INSTEAD! Seriously!

He’s a man and he’s white. That’s his appeal especially to older voters. Sigh.
