1. A modest proposal: if you think abortion is murder, you should support mandatory vasectomies for every boy that hits puberty. That vasectomy would be (temporarily) reversed when man & partner want to have a child. Result: zero abortions.https://twitter.com/everywhereist/status/1126647518161448960 …

2. "But Jeet," you're saying. "Mandatory vasectomies would be an invasion of bodily autonomy!" True, but much less so than mandatory childbirth. Mandatory vasectomies are the least intrusive way to get to a zero abortion world.

3. "But Jeet," you object. "What if the reverse vasectomy doesn't work?" Simple: each male also has sperm frozen before vasectomy, kept on hold if needs to procreate. Again: mandatory vasectomies are the only way to create a zero abortion world.

4. If abortion is murder, then the recently passed anti-abortion laws are woefully inadequate (since in every existing society that bans abortion, the procedure still exists underground). The really only effective way is mandatory vasectomies.

"The ban on homicide is woefully inadequate, because people still 'practice it underground'. Therefore, we need to lobotomize people's frontal lobes if we're serious about stopping murder". - very serious Leftist person

Vasectomy is not comparable to lobotomy. Especially if sperm is frozen, it's a procedure with no downside. Or are you a baby-killer who is okay with opposing the one policy that would bring abortion to near zero?

A) abortion will approach zero anyway with the artificial womb, eventually B) that's a slippery slope - can govt change one's DNA to make one more useful for the public interest? What's the limiting principle? C) we don't eliminate freedoms simply because they're at times misused

The artificial womb hasn't been invented yet. The mandatory vasectomy is the only existing procedure to cut abortion down to near zero. Outlawing abortion itself would eliminate freedom.. If you think abortion is murder, you're morally obliged to support mandatory vasectomy.

Pools kill 3x more kids than guns in America every year. If you're against kids drowning, we're morally obliged to ban pools, no? Is the logic different? Yes. I'm fine with eliminating the "freedom to kill".

You are ok with mandatory childbirth but oppose mandatory vasectomies even though they would be 1) far less intrusive & compromising of freedom and 2) far more effective. Seems to me you care about the freedom of those who have penises but not those who have vaginas. Why?

"Don't kill someone" = "mandatory childbirth"? People with penises don't have the freedom to kill, either. Why not just a chastity belt for men? Cheaper, 100% reversible, and no surgery?

Then get your legislators to push for bills mandating chastity belts for men. Surely your average pro-life male legislator would be happy to wear a chastity belt if it meant there would be no need for any abortions ever.
