2. "But Jeet," you're saying. "Mandatory vasectomies would be an invasion of bodily autonomy!" True, but much less so than mandatory childbirth. Mandatory vasectomies are the least intrusive way to get to a zero abortion world.

3. "But Jeet," you object. "What if the reverse vasectomy doesn't work?" Simple: each male also has sperm frozen before vasectomy, kept on hold if needs to procreate. Again: mandatory vasectomies are the only way to create a zero abortion world.

4. If abortion is murder, then the recently passed anti-abortion laws are woefully inadequate (since in every existing society that bans abortion, the procedure still exists underground). The really only effective way is mandatory vasectomies.

I've said this before, but eggs are involuntary. Women have no agency over them being released. But men? Men have complete control over when sperm will be released. It takes decision and action to do it. So they're the cause of unwanted pregnancies and should bear the cost.

I thought this was a good idea at first, too, but vasectomies are not always reversible. Doctors will tell you *not* to get a vasectomy until you are done having kids.

I think the only reasonable conclusion from all of this is that abortion is not murder

“We” don’t have to veer into it. “They” will. If there’s no right to privacy, there’s no right to procreate, and all sorts of “rational” solutions are on the table.

And, of course, death certificates and funerals for every miscarriage. As life begins at conception, can a fetus within a convict be legally confined? Do pregnant women count as 2 for the census?
