I agree. But that’s not my point. asking. In Nixon’s case, the hearings moved public opinion (and, importantly, the opinions of GOP members) because the absence of a public Special Counsel investigation meant the hearings revealed lots of new information to the public.

That’s not the case here. We’ve already had the Mueller investigation, the results of which will be picked over and made the subject of public hearings for months to come. There’s no chance of Trump’s impeachment hearings hitting the way Nixon’s did.

Understatement of the year. If we're rating seriousness of impeachment issues on a scale of 1-100 & Nixon's a 70, Clinton'd be, at best, a 20. Trump's about 80-85. & there wasn't much to know about BC anyway, no complexity. He got blow jobs, he prevaricated about it under oath.
