One example: Hillary won every county in the West Virginia primary, with 239,062 votes. Bernie won every county in the same primary eight years later… but just 124,700 votes.

I’ve written about it before, but one reason establishment Dems thought Clinton would be strong in 2016 was that she bodied Obama in 2008 with conservative white voters. They underestimated how many of those voters were simply gone by 2016.
