Yeah - it seems like in the original conception, it was less anti-Islam (though it became such) and more anti-'godless communism'

Is this worth the $40 I'm considering paying for it? Looks like it's been out of print for a long time.

It's a good book but maybe try inter-library loan?

I mean, it's so much simpler than that. The term is hateful, should never be used. Its main usefulness is to ignorant Christians, many of them Millennialist apocalyptic antisemite death-cultists, seeking to wear, expropriate, and redefine a Jewish identity they know jack about.

It's primarily conservative Christians and sometimes Republican Jews who use the phrase "Judaeo Christian". Your typical American Jew does not use that language. Around the time of the Cold War, rampant public anti-semitism became unpopular among conservatives. Wasn't before.

"Judeo-Christian" also erases the significant differences between the faiths, making the latter the lens through which we view the former.
-
Also ignores the degree to which Christianity is a product of the Hellenistic world, with significant infusions of Greek, Persian, and Indian thought.
