HRC potentially won the popular vote in 2008 depending on how you slice it. She was at the very least competitive to the very end when Bernie was mathematically eliminated in early March.

This is correct, Clinton got more primary votes (even after shenanigans with Michigan and Florida), but superdelegates gave final win to Obama. After she conceded, she supported Obama without hesitation, gave a great speech at convention in 2008 and in 2012.
