1. This is exactly right and inspires a few thoughts I have on Marshall McLuhan, Neil Postman, Ulysses, literacy, FDR, Eisenhower & presidential reading.https://twitter.com/emilynussbaum/status/1113937215757877248 …

Not just his watching trash programming, but also the recurring theme with Trump is his confusion of fact and fiction. But you know that. I think you also called him "the first postmodern president" and compared him to Walter Mitty https://www.today.com/popculture/harrison-ford-reminds-donald-trump-air-force-one-was-only-t61036 … https://variety.com/2018/scene/news/christian-bale-meeting-donald-trump-1203087706/ …

I am convinced that Trump has never read a book. Think about high school required reading from his era. Can anyone think this guy made it through Jane Eyre?

"Anyways" and critiquing 'Ulysses' in one thread. Right.

As a speech language pathologist I'd have to disagree with you. I've seen videos of Trump in the 80s when his vocabulary, sentence structure, etc was normal, complex. He has dementia as did his father. He also shows classic signs of dyslexia, a reading disorder, most of his life.
