I think the column was a pushback against "enthusiasm" for the investigation—and while its target is I think a strawperson (the "naive MSNBC fan," I suppose)—I take offense to its motif because I remain unapologetically enthusiastic about completing this investigation.

And all the people I kept running into in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s who were voting for him despite NEVER having voted before. Who were thus invisible in pollsters' models. But yeah, that was just "anecdote," right?

Did any of these voters mention immigration as a concern? It’s the one policy area in which Trump offered a break from the status quo and the only one he seems to actually care about as president. Curious if people viewed it as a real concern or as evid he’d take on the estab.
