No matter what happens with the Mueller report, the Dems spent the last two years doing what they needed: taking back the House with a wave election, started building the next generation of leaders, worked on motivating their coalition, and debated their agenda for a new era.

I’m more talking about respectable Dem elites. Laurence Tribe would have been offended by “Bush did 9/11” but now he’s convinced everyone is a Russian agent.

Not to 11d-chess it, but the general embarrassment of respectable, elite, Democratic gatekeepers (and their narrowing of interest into chasing conspiracies) is good. Let Tribe draw strings on the wall while we talk filibuster, electoral college, SCOTUS, etc.

I think that's right. The conspiracy theories are flytraps that take people away from real politics. Which, in some cases, is good!
