Candace Owens is a total embarrassment for many reasons but I don't understand the impulse to pretend that she was genuinely cited as an "inspiration" by the NZ killer. If anything he was sarcastically ridiculing her. He made his actual influences clear: Breivik and Oswald Mosley

The Owens reference was a troll bu a complicated one. He's basically saying she's a fake geek girl, someone who spouts the talk but doesn't follow through. Also his attitude towards Trump.

I can't imagine any interpretation that would indicate he has genuine admiration for Candace Owens. Especially considering he goes on to extensively denounce the feebleness of US conservatism, of which she is a latter-day avatar.

Where did I say he admired her. I said he sees her as a fake geek girl: i.e. someone who talks the talk but isn't authentic. That's the basis of his denunciation of conservatism (and is typical of alt-right talk of cucks & sell outs).

OK. It just seems like a pretty full-on troll to me, intended to ridicule Candace rather than cite her as any genuine "inspiration," as some media reports have indicated.
