Forget Yair, cabinet members say it openly. Also not discussed in American politics is that the alternative that is supported by Netanyahu's opponents is to do what Abu Mazen's demands, meaning starve Gaza until Hamas capitulates. @NeriZilber

A Palestinian state encompassing both West Bank &Gaza will be as successful as Pakistan &Bangladesh were as a divided country Hamas is committed to Israel's destruction~w/that mindset, there'll never be a meaningful dialogue. I ask again~if they breach the border, what'll they do?

If Hamas is so bad, why is Israel giving it money?

Where have you been? Yair is an avowed supporter of the Alt-Right and one of the main voices in Bibi's ear for the past decade. It's been said he's the one running foreign policy & Bibi's run to the international right. I'm Israeli, dont @ me.

Netanyahu doesn't want to solve the problem because his entire raison d'etre is to stay in power at any cost, and presents this as being "the only person who can protect Israel [ever]." Alleviating the crisis will make people feel less dependent on him.
