In the Milne books, the 100 Acre Wood is merely a small section of the vast wilderness they explore. I believe it was Disney that made this term for the entire world.

Well in 17th & 18th century they came to the 13 colonies or London. In 19th century London, Manchester, & Sheffield. Some did go on to Australia or America or Canada.
