but the dismissive attitude toward environmentalism is just a symptom of the underlying, radically individualist social philosophy, which rejects as self-defeating the very possibility for any coordinated, collective action besides that of the market.

The last 30+ years have given us a tour de force demonstration of what it looks like when you put Hayek into practice in earnest. It has failed, and I think it's time for an altogether different approach.
