That's why the only measurement I am comfortable with is 'a handful'. Eg: I had 2 handfuls of M&Ms is more meaningful than I had 32g of M&Ms.

The metric system is beautiful in its design and use, especially for human scale measures of weight, volume, and distance.

But temperature is dumb because they set 0 and 100 on water and not absolute zero: –273.15°C is a joke.

Clearly you don’t live somewhere with a cold winter; it’s pretty common here to get temperatures well into the negatives in fahrenheit.

Counter counterpoint. The metric system is far superior. It doesn't require all kinds of ridiculous conversions and is actually based on something. It's much easier to actually learn. The Celsius Fahrenheit thing for air temperature I'm still undecided on though.

Math is a lot easier in Kelvin, none of those pesky negatives to deal with.

I use the metric system for my work.(pastry chef) I despise ounces/pounds, inches/ft/yards and Fahrenheit, despite growing up using both and currently living in America.
