"Hitler wasn't really a nationalist, he was a globalist." If you think about what the word "globalist" is code for, this is not just ignorant, it is also sinister.

Let's be clear: "Hitler was a globalist," like the lie that Soros being a Nazi, is an attempt to pretend you are anti-Nazi while at the same time reviving a cornerstone of Nazi mythology (the concept of Judeo–Bolshevism).

Candace Owen is a creepy grifter, but the deeper problem that allows people like her to flourish is that popular understanding of Nazism tends to be cloudy in North America, which is a legacy of the Cold War and America's quick abandonment of de-Nazification.

THIS. 60% of American do NOT know what @AuschwitzMuseum was. They literally have no clue about the extermination of Jewish people, the propaganda that led to it, and the antisemitism that has been passed on from generation to generation. Ugh. Sigh.

I saw that Prager U backed her up with that exact same “definition” of nationalism, so her grift has deep pockets behind it

Candace Owen is the product of our culture of making people famous for shallow reasons, our elevation of ignorance at the expense of scholarship and understanding, and the promotion of the worst possible people into positions of power.

"The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion," an Anti-Semitic forgery published in the 1890s, was the origins of "globalism," the belief that Jews were destroying countries from within to build a global empire. For conservatives to plead ignorance of these origins is shameful

Same in Britain. The only countries that really dealt with Nazism are the ones that lost WW2.

Well, pretty much everybody outside of the Soviet sphere abandoned denazification rapidly. Including western communist parties.

Look at PCF and KPD votes in parliament in the late 40s.
