I'm genuinely puzzled by the claim here that whooping up a tomahawk chant at a Native man (who was only trying to defuse the situation) could have been an act of "solidarity." https://twitter.com/robbysoave/status/1087087949538316288 …

He said he put himself between beasts and prey, and in his version, the kids were the beasts and the Black Hebrews were the prey. He meant for the kids to learn that drowning out the Black Hebrews was wrong. Every bit of that is delusional. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/nathan-phillips-maga-students-781861/ …

How is that at odds with anything that was said? Both sides were shouting at each other, but the "kids" massively outnumbered the Black Hebrews and we're beginning to act in a threatening manner.

He also walked right up to a kid and started drumming in his face. What if this was a white guy playing a drum 6 inches from a 17 year old black kid’s face - who just calmly stood there and defiantly smiled. Would you condemn the black high schooler or the drum player?

Also, would love a link, because I haven't seen his statement making that comparison. That would be like the 5th version he offered.
