Booze finally caught up with chris Hitchens...
Sadly, yes. To say that Obama or Harris are not African American ignores where they were born and grew up. No one asks if your parents are from Africa or the US before making a snap judgment on your race
Be very clear that citing what a CHARACTER in a fictional drama says or does offers zero assurance that it reflects in any way on the WRITER's overall or specific beliefs or politics. And in the case of a TV drama, even that you know the actual author of the given dialogue.
In many ways, it's probably best he died before he hopped on board the anti-SJW grift machine because we all know he would have.
I remember it. Hitchens wrote a lot of stupid stuff after 9/11.
Nothing whiter than a white man telling a black man he isnt black. I generally like Hitchens but every once in a while it was like he was just looking for clicks in a pre-click age, trying to live up to his contrarian rep. Sometimes he wrote *really* dumb, exasperating things.
a real bore, in the end
Kids today don't even realize this but in the 1980s and early 1990s, Hitchens was a brilliant socialist polemicist. His decline was a real loss.
