Teenage boys in large groups often tend to behave cruelly. It's no excuse -- they should be reprimanded and made to understand why what they did was wrong -- but the scene itself is really familiar. Just happens to have a political overtone in this instance.

Do you agree or disagree with the statement, "Teenage boys in large groups often tend to behave cruelly," and do you agree or disagree that such a dynamic could've contributed to their inexcusable behavior?
-
Yes. Why did you write the word 'but' between it's no excuse and that concept? In English, that means you are stating it as an excuse. It is not one, it is an added and separate horror.

Since teenage boys in large groups often tend to behave cruelly, I think we should pass a law banning large groups of teenage boys. Who else supports this?

And teenage boys in large groups don’t all and don’t always behave this way. Some do in some situations: the weak and easily-led and the disgusting out-and-out bullies and racists. And the more privileged they are, the worse they get.

Literally the reason Brett Kavanaugh is on the Supreme Court and how he got away with lying under oath in confirmation hearings.

The boys part sounds the same, the rest not so much but the need to rephrase simple statements to fit one's preconceptions of what other people mean is a wonderful thing.
