Are there good essays by writer re their editors? I've read biographies of writers where editors play a role, and diaries where writers talk re editors, but is there an essay by a writer re their editor(s)? Would love to write an "Editors I Have Known" piece; looking for models.

Malcolm Cowley's profile of Max Perkins goes into some of this -- New Yorker April 1, 1944 and reprinted in one of Cowley's books (forget which one). Also the biography of Perkins by Berg.
