What politics were being advanced when Sanders’ rightful but blunt condemnations of a rigged economy failed to paint to many folks that beating the republicans was an imperative to ending that system? When he started campaigning in the general, it was too late

Parties are not ideological. At all. They exist only to garner and maintain money and power for themselves. They use *our* ideologies to garner our support. But they don’t have ideologies. They will always politically support policies that they believe help them get money/power.
