The whole Bernie-vs.-Beto frame assumes a replay of 2016 and does a disservice to the many credible candidates who aren't Bernie or Beto (to name a few, Warren, Gillibrand, Booker, Harris).

It might be the case that a few Bernie supporters are criticizing Beto right now.But here's the thing: if Beto runs & continues to have a nebulous policy profile, that's the same objections Warren supporters and Gillibrand supporters will make.

To the extent it says anything at all doesn't it reflect poorly, not on Bernie or Beto, but on the PSA guys, precisely bc there are so many solid folks already running?

Beto won't run and if he did, he couldn't win as head of the ticket. There is a "Twitter" base and a "On the Ground" base. The way to marry the two is "Biden Beto". We need stability now and a future.

No joke: the real priority for progressives needs to be torpedoing Biden.

This is not pointless to Bernieites, who are hell bent on cutting the legs off of any D who is attractive to their narrow demo. Weakening the DNC and eventual nominee (who will NOT be Bernie) is not a concern for them.
