He obstructed justice-and may have violated campaign laws. W/o more, is that a good reason to seek impeachment (or pine for indictment, if constitutional)? Or is it a counterproductive distraction for Democrats, who must struggle to appeal to a sufficient (super)majority to rule?

It's a real dilemma. What I've concluded is 1) impeachment is a blunt instrument which doesn't really work 2) impeachment is a political rather than legal choice 3) best way to see rule of law restored is for Trump to be defeated in election & then subject to prosecution
