He obstructed justice-and may have violated campaign laws. W/o more, is that a good reason to seek impeachment (or pine for indictment, if constitutional)? Or is it a counterproductive distraction for Democrats, who must struggle to appeal to a sufficient (super)majority to rule?

Ideally impeachment would not be something everyone is so afraid of. It would actually help if it was normalized to a degree in that if a president commits a crime, that is it, they get impeached and removed. Everyone is afraid of it being abused but its riskier to not use now.

I think #3 is especially right. He deserves to be impeached but you’ll never get enough senators to convict even with a smirking gun and trump will never resign. Electoral defeat is the most realistic and most democratic way forward
