1. To impeach or not to impeach? That is the question. It just got a lot more real with the new determination that Trump directed Cohen to commit a crime. https://twitter.com/jonfavs/status/1071175435206049792 …

11. We're in a very murky place, with no clear answers and should be ready to change our minds. But for now, I think its best to think politically and keep our eyes on the prize. The goal is getting Trump out of office. 2020 is not too far away.

regardless of whether you impeach him, he should be prosecuted where possible once he's left office (assuming he's not dead obviously)

If Bill Clinton got impeached for his lies, absolutely Trump deserves to be as well.

And if the Senate won't convict then his crimes are normalized. The best course wouldve been to not elect a mob boss.

As part of a larger, all-encompassing anti-corruption message for the 2020 campaign, I could see impeachment hearings being a political win precisely because the politics are behind the legal/moral/ethical argument

Hold hearings. Trump world is damaged and crashing around them. Republicans can stay in political denial with info-echo-chamber insulating them. But politically neutered with no agenda already

That is the risk worth taking. Make the gop endorse crimes. Then leave it to the voters in 2020. It’s zero sum now.

I believe there are enough Republicans who won't be able to stomach this, especially when the redacted information is released. They're still American citizens first, and normal ppl don't want a criminal as their leader. And A LOT of GOP senators are up for reelection in 2020.
