Yup. Lots of people behaved badly, but I'm not going to fault defense attorneys for zealously advocating for their clients. (I will, however, fault prosecutors for rolling over and accommodating. That is the outrage here.) You're letting antipathy for Starr color your judgement

As a defense attorney, I often "pressured" the prosecutor to give my client a good deal. The prosecutor is the one who seems to have failed to live up to his duty in this one. It's an awful story.
