I do. I experienced firsthand, as a CBC employee, how fear of being viewed as "in the tank" with one party or another skews coverage. It's not that we were doing government's bidding - it's that we were terrified of looking like we were. Stories were killed, angles changed.

I have a lot more experience in editorial positions at CBC than Jesse and I can say this is categorically false. There is an obsession with fairness. This is not without consequences. But it is overall a strength not a weakness.
