I feel like I'm going crazy watching this - how is WaPo just declaring this a doctored video in a straight headline?https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2018/11/08/white-house-shares-doctored-video-support-punishment-journalist-jim-acosta/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.7652482f0eee …

The slowing down and speeding up to create an impression of a karate chop can fairly be described as doctoring.

Do you really see "the impression of a karate chop" anywhere in either of these videos?

Guy who edited the video said "chopped" so that's the impression being created (and if you google Acosta and karate it looks like many believed):https://twitter.com/TomFitton/status/1060236743352442886 …

Right but those people are crazy and full of shit and constantly make stuff up for the lols! Do you, personally, see anything more sinister in one video than the other?

I think the effect of slowing down and speeding up does make it look more like a deliberate act on Acosta's part rather than an instinctive reaction. It's still pretty lame but it's meant to create an impression.
