Also the "centuries-old version" had evil Queen "forced to step into the red-hot shoes [made of iron & heated in burning coal] and dance until she fell down dead." Not sure I would recommend it to kids.

The interesting thing about mountebanks like Shapiro and Jordan Peterson is that they think the Disney version of fairytales is an accurate representation of ancient stories, rather than a heavily modernized 20th century version of old plots.
