Wait but which would you consider to be the accelerationist option?

Not an accelerationist, but I am hoping that this jolts the left out of the idea that we can rely on the courts to bring in social change, like we did with Roe and marriage equality. This just underscores the need to develop a durable majority in Congress to pass bills instead.

But bills that can be shot down by a biased right wing court. Gotta pack the court too.

Ugh, for women this sounds just like the Sarandon "Trump will usher in a revolution so he is better than Hillary." FUCK NO.

Interesting that you mention it. I’ve been saying lately that I have to rethink my contempt for accelerationism.

"if things go bad enough, then things actually go good because it feels good to believe that"

This isn't accelerationist: both outcomes are equally bad in substance, but one is more obvious and easier to organize around. Accelerationists advocate things getting worse to trigger a reaction.
-
The thing is that getting a very-probable-rapist on the court is also really bad in substance. It makes people take the issue itself less seriously. Also, Kavanaugh is Trump's man when it comes to covering his ass on possible cases around pardons, etc. Another substance point.

How does one go about ignoring an “illegitimate court”? Lol c’mon
