How difficult is it to say: "Look, I drank a lot in high school and college. I did a lot of stuff I'm not proud of, some of which I might not even remember. I'm genuinely sorry to anyone I hurt. I'm a different man today."

If those things are conflated in your own head that sounds like a you problem, the words coming out of his keyboard aren’t doing that. Claiming someone “said things that were untrue” is not the same as claiming they did so in a trial, confirmation hearing, or any other setting.

How do you know it’s riddled with falsehood? Where is your proof that what he said is not true? As for perjury, I assumed you meant as many others as claimed that he lied during his hearing.
