Carol Tyler is one of the greatest cartoonists of any generation. Her work has helped us understand each other by connecting our past to our present, and has pushed the medium of comics in places it had never gone before. She's also a world class human being.

What happened now? Is this related to the incident where Crumb was booed? Is there some "make way for the new guard" movement going on?

I'm not being rhetorical. Trying to put the pieces together. Was she the one who mentioned Crumb that led to this incident?

When Crumb's name came up by a presenter, many people booed. Then, while praising anthologies, I said that I was first published in R. Crumb's Weirdo, which resulted in a few groans. But the tweet was about someone not wanting an older cartoon person hosting.

Ignore the haters, Carol. You're a wonderful cartoonist, one of the best we have.
