7. Again, this is speculation. There needs to be reporting. Counting against this theory is that its nutso for even a Trump White House to go forward with a risky nominee if they have list that (presumably) includes jurists of same stripe who don't have accusations against them.

8. Here's the thing: the judicial nomination wing of the White House is where the Trump administration is reputedly the most professional. So it's a hell of thing if they went into this with eyes wide open.

I strongly believe that Trump probably picked Kavanaugh BECAUSE of his history of violating and disenfranchising women, not despite it.

I don't think the WH is together enough to coordinate 65 women signing a letter, nor to anticipate the need to. Kavanaugh is though.
