You don't see the difference between saying "Trump is a dove" and saying "Clinton made a mistake by attacking Trump for not being hawkish enough when she should have emphasized his war-mongering"?

You call him an “honest broker” right there in your piece

Replying to @regwag2003 @pleizar
I said he "promised to be an honest broker."

In this paragraph, you argue that HRC to the right of Trump. As you wrote it, the citation of Trump's claim that he will be an honest broker not only serves this purpose, but also brings Trump into line with. . . .Bernie Sanders & the "mainstream of American foreign policy."pic.twitter.com/J4txsOgzSv

I don't know if you currently agree w/ your analysis from two years ago or not. But this para quite clearly gives an unquestioning account of Trump's own claim. You also used this claim to form a juxtaposition in which Trump was either more moderate or more left than HRC.pic.twitter.com/TzWoljoODv

Again, maybe you've changed your mind, but I don't think you should make the argument that you never wrote anything that demonstrated this particular juxtaposition. It's clearly the case that you did.

Sigh. I wrote countless articles in 2015 and 2016 saying that Trump was a bullshit artist and that his incoherent ramblings on foreign policy will lead to a more dangerous world: https://newrepublic.com/minutes/132249/donald-trump-promising-exciting-new-world-nuclear-proliferation …

That's great. But it's not a contradiction of the argument that you did, at other times, engage in this specific juxtaposition. We're not talking about your entire journalistic record. We're talking about aspects of it.

Here is statement: "By saying Trump would be "neutral" on Israeli security, Hillary Clinton was attacking him from the right." Do you agree or disagree with that as a factual statement?

Disagree. Who has ever been neutral in Israeli security? That has nothing to do with being an honest broker in peace talks. She was attacking him from the real world.

So you agree with Trump's current policies on Israel. Great.

Did Trump say it or not? If he said it, he broke with American policy and therefore Hillary was not attacking from the right, she was attacking from the mainstream.
