Whether you agree or not, Harris’s point is simple: The left has allowed the far-right to control the narrative when it comes to criticism of radical Islam. He makes it clear that he does not like this. He thinks liberal/progressives should be speaking out more forcefully.

Play aloof then don't complain about the results. You're digging holes. What we liberals should be saying is, "we believe in multiculturalism, but we recognise the problems. We have to talk about them honestly and find consensual solutions." Instead, cede grounds to fascists.
