Capitalism used to mean a market Economy. Socialism used to be government ownership of the means of production. If we’re just gonna change the meaning of everything why are we even bothering arguing about this stuff?

Agree. I think the appropriate distinction is capitalism as an economic system (i.e., what you term a market economy) vs. capitalism as a political system (rules designed to favor capital at the expense of all else).

interesting, yes, but maybe that is the point, that, with monopolization and rentierism, a capitalist system essentially becomes a command economy. I mean, almost all of the food that you eat is made by like six corporations.
