You have a much lower opinion of white people than I do. I think many white people are fully capable of understanding comedy & satire.

that Sully screwed up on 1 tweet, that some of her tweets are funny, that some people have responded to her with bigotry, does not excuse a relentless multi-year barrage of anti-white tweets. I was going to give her & NYT benefit of the doubt but here:https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1025437806775226368.html …

1. Yes, it's a problem. Let me explain why. This guy, Nick Monroe, who both you & Sullivan promote, is a wingnut who has a long history of stalking journalists, as an outgrowth of the Gamergate controversy.

2. Monroe's modus operandi is to dig up old tweets from journalists and create dogpiles. He's done this before. Jeong, who is a tech journalist who was involved in Gamergate, has often had to deal with characters like this before. it's part of her work experience.

3. If you want to genuinely understand why Jeong is so angry in her tweets, you have to understand the social context of Gamergate, where harassment of female journalists was the norm.

So let me get this straight- Jeong's "angry" racist tweets that she was doing all the way back in 2013 (there is archived proof of this) started because of Gamergate which didn't happen until August of 2014? Try again you disingenuous hack.

Harassment of female & non-white journalists obviously precedes Gamergate, but Gamergate also hugely increased it. Jeong's tweets aren't racist, unless you think that criticizing white supremacy is racist.

But you specifically called out that she did it because of Gamergate. And she never once criticized "white supremacy" she criticized and called for the genocide of the white race. Everything you have stated just proves you're pushing your own racist agenda.

Your deepest problem is that you have extremely poor reading skills, which make you deaf to irony and satire. I'm not sure how it could be remedied apart from many years of education. In the meantime, this thread might help:https://twitter.com/HeerJeet/status/1025538368145444864 …

Are they "irony" and "satire" and shouldn't be taken seriously? Or are they angry tweets fighting against "white supremacy" that should be taken seriously as such? You can't have it both ways. Choose one. You can't even stick to your own narrative.

You sure seem smart. I guess Swift was either writing satire that shouldn't be taken seriously when he wrote, A Modest Proposal, or he was angrily fighting colonialist attitudes. Which was it?
