What do you see in this thread that's in "bad faith," exactly? Is everyone who criticizes Jeong and finds her tweets vile responsible for someone's racist garbage directed at her?

The idea that she can't be a victim because she's Ivy League seems bad faith since anti-Asian racism (as illustrated by the Garrison cartoon) is a very real thing.

Many people are arguing that Jeong isn't meaningfully oppressed or doesn't face racism in the US. This cartoon is very racist. it's a good example that anti Asian racism exists. Claiming it doesn't exist is therefore untenable.

Jeet isn't saying you can't discuss anything this guy has done a cartoon about. He's saying that you should acknowledge that anti-Asian racism exists, and that that needs to be taken into account when discussing this issue.

It's not that complicated a point really...though obviously you may have your own reasons for not wanting to understand it.

Cartoons of trump are mocking his pink features and clearly show that he is oppressed and viewed as a savage hun! We must pretend all his policies are virtuous!

By the way, George Kennan wanted to take away the franchise from women and African Americans.
