Business conservatism is an underestimated strand, mainly because it mostly doesn’t come from the sort of people who write manifestos, but it overlaps in lots of places with the populists.

You are a journalist ... so when you use "real," "always," & "only" you're going to be wrong. The vast majority of citizens don't identify with the political labels you're applying or the ideology used to categorize everyone. This is really just a bin sorting exercise of elites.
