anyway. the Trump era sure has been clarifying. it turns out too much clarity is not such a great thing in many cases.
What's the problem here? Here are specific cases where Trump's instincts are good: willingness to talk to North Korea, unwillingness to expand (as Pentagon wants) boots on the ground in Syria & Afghanistan. Or do you think Trump is wrong on that?

I think presenting Trump as having good instincts is not right. He's all over the map on policy, so he's bound to say a thing or two that isn't terrible. But his instincts also tell him that we should use nuclear weapons.
