Do you not detect an increasingly prevalent strain of thought on the liberal/left that regards as oppressive most if not all immigration controls? I’m not even criticizing the position per se, at it has a noble provenance

I don’t think I’ve ever met a person, even all those members of the L/L Intelligentsia traipsing about, who has ever argued anything close to, or lurched toward, “all immigration controls are inherently oppressive.” But hey, Mike Tracey’s brand isn’t going to build itself!

Arguments that lead to a conclusion need to be clarified if you don't want people to end up at that conclusion. What controls do you support? If none, then that's open borders

Any criticism of any enforcement whatsoever is open borders. What would you call it if conservatives insisted on no enforcement of tax laws?
