2. To me the big reason to be chary & wary about Nazi analogies in current context is that it exoticizes Trump when we really need to understand that he's a very, very, very American figure.

3. Trump didn't spring out of nowhere but has deep roots, at least as far back as Andrew Jackson & going forward to 1st & 2nd KKK, Father Coughlin, McCarthy, George Wallace, etc.
